The Wildlife Art of Mary Anne Whittle

Wildlife dominates the art of Mary Anne Whittle whether in the form of wildflowers or wild creatures. Within the last ten years her focus on wildlife became apparent when she found herself photographing the wildlife around White Rock Lake, near where she lives, more than the sailboat scenes. The lake is the year round home of many small creatures and attracts migratory birds year after year. Winning some special awards for her wildlife work encouraged her to pursue and leam more about animal art.

In her quest to leam more about wildlife, she is active with the DFW Wildlife Coalition, volunteering for the Hotline to place orphaned and injured animals with Rehab Centers and For the Love of the Lake, an organization that protects and cares for the environment around White Rock Lake. Mary Anne donates proceeds from her art work to both organizations.
